Our Hungarian Rolls have quickly become a customer favorite here at the bakery. We love how they're their own little beings... not a croissant, not a overly sweet pastry, just a perfect little treat for either the morning or afternoon.
The dough is made with organic flour, Vermont butter & eggs, and sour cream. We roll them with a deeelightful filling made with oven-toasted walnuts and a sweet meringue, which, when baked, creates a sweet, soft filling and little magical spots where the meringue bakes out and becomes crunchy. Our honey-apricot version is filled with a sweet local honey, toasted almond, and apricot filling.
